Stay Report - 2/11 to 2/12

Location: The hotel is located about 8 minutes north of Downtown Brevard, North Carolina (a town about half an hour west of Asheville).  It's in a shopping center which has a Bi-Lo grocery store, Belk and a Walmart along with local stores.  It's really close to NC-280 and US 64 so it's easy to get around.

Hotel: While the hotel was originally built in 1998 it's had an extensive renovation and it looks far more like new construction Hamptons than the first generation.  There's a really nice lobby they made the effort to decorate in a winter theme, a sweet shop and business center, a large parking lot and renovated common areas.  My only complaint is there's only a single elevator.

Check In: The sole bad experience here.  The agent on duty didn't seem to want to be working.  She was brusque and unfriendly, did not acknowledge my Diamond status, did not confirm if I wanted points or marketplace items and spoke as little as possible.  Thankfully everyone else I dealt with was much nicer.

Room: Good, it's been renovated so there's no longer a tiny closet and tiny bathroom.  Instead there was a nicely decorated bed with outlets next to it, very large TV, desk area and a good sized bathroom.  Soundproofing could use a little work but the shower was very hot and Wifi worked well which are more important to me.

Breakfast: I'm happy to report the hotel is not doing just grab and go.  They had hot options though you had to take them to go or back to your room which is fine with me.

Overall a good hotel for the area.  I'd return.

This was the second time we've stayed here. Nothing fancy. Very typical Hampton Inn, but in a good way. Very clean and well kept. And very up to date and functional within the Hilton Honors systems. Last year (precovid) i don't think we actually ever talked to a staff member, because you can reserve, check in and out, and open your room all with the app. Same this year, except that they served breakfast through a window, which while kinda odd, was one of the better solutions I've seen to the breakfast issues at hilton properties. That's the only reason I've ever interacted with the staff here. Which is great if you're just staying at a Hampton for a one night stopover.

Would definitely stay here again, and probably will.

Excellent place to stay if you are in the Brevard, Pisgah Forest area. The hotel and the room were very clean, with very good precautions taken against the COVID virus. The beds were comfortable, the wifi worked great, and the breakfast was very good considering the pandemic restrictions. There is a Walmart, Taco Bell, and a shopping center within walking distance.

This is a nice hotel located conveniently right next to a Walmart, gas station, and the entrance to Pisgah National Forest. It is also not far from downtown Brevard. I was on the road for almost two weeks in different camp sites and hotels and this one was BY FAR the best one I stayed in the whole time. Only entrance is from front door of hotel and there were cameras in the parking lot for safety. Upon walking up to the room, there is a sticker on the door verifying it has been cleaned and when I walked in, the room was FRESH with Lysol or some cleaning product. I always additionally wipe down surfaces in hotel rooms and this one was spotless. The room was quiet. There were some dogs barking near the hotel that were easily drowned out by the a/c. The decor was nice, bed very clean and comfy. There was still breakfast being served in the morning that you came down for, ordered and had a plate made by the staff, and then took back to the room. There was a computer I was able to use in the lobby as I had broken my phone and needed to find a place to fix and do some business before checking out. I was very comfortable here and the price is really reasonable for the area (I stayed on non-holiday weekday). Staff was all very friendly and all appear to be taking COVID precautions throughout hotel, which I appreciate greatly. I had a great experience and was really glad I found this place! Will stay again!
