Came with a small group and our dog. Their kitchen accommodated my daily cooking. Plenty of pots and pans, countertop space and room to serve guests. Great food in town, plenty of smoke shops too. The setting around the property is very quiet, day and night. Excellent for relaxing walks with dogs. We had the smaller room with a bathroom across the hall. Our hosts assembled an exceptionally comfortable bed and our room opened directly to the outside for discrete exits. Friends of ours had the larger room with a wheelchair accessible bathroom nearby. Very spacious. I spent a lot of my stay in their sophisticated jacuzzi. As a Texan, it was very novel to be out in the snow, in bubbling hot water. I strongly recommend this venue for small groups and couples.
We spent the first two days of our Colorado vacation at Elk Run B&B. In the woods, off of a quiet road, this property was beautiful, comfortable and relaxing.
Tastefully decorated in a western theme, the room was perfect with its own outside entrance and private bath.
Breakfast was tasty AND flexible. That was a plus for me,as I have to eat a low fat diet.
The expansive deck and hot tub were an unexpected surprise.
I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the Evergreen area.
Elk Run is a quaint B&B a quick 10 minute ride into the heart of Evergreen. There are 2 bedrooms (with private bathrooms), a living area including kitchen and dining table. Rooms are well appointed and clean. Bathrooms are not en suite, but are directly outside your room and can be locked- the B&B provides bathrobes for those who might want to be covered when walking from room to bathroom. Plush towels, shampoo, conditioner, bath gel and lotions are provided.
Rooms have their own private entrance and there are a few outdoor areas to enjoy (including with heat lamps for those chilly evenings). Breakfast is prepared in the morning- and is delicious! Coffees, teas and juices are stocked. Like many B&Bs, be prepared to get to know other guests. During breakfast you will all enjoy conversation around one table.
The owner has dogs who are very sweet and will visit in the morning. However, they were very well behaved and did not beg for food even as we ate breakfast. For most of our time there, the dogs were kept upstairs in the owners part of the home if that is a concern.
Overall, great experience and reasonably priced. We will definitely be back.
Michelle and John are wonderful hosts who have set aside a portion of their home for a very comfortable stay. Our room was spotlessly clean with an exceptional bed. The bathroom was across the hall but still private and well-appointed. The common area is cozy and comfortable, and the breakfasts basic but more than sufficient for getting you on with your day. When you choose to linger, you'll enjoy the beautiful grounds.
Best of all, though, are the hosts. These are just good people you'll like immediately and will come to appreciate more as you get to know them. In all, very highly recommended.
Located in the mountains off the beaten path and within minutes of the quaint town of Evergreen this 2 unit B&B is hosted by Michelle and John who have left no detail overlooked when they outfitted their home for guests. Situated on 3.5 acres of woods complete with a brook babbling through it we were cordially welcomed and made to feel totally at home. Everything was available for our use from a private entrance to a large common room for relaxing with TV and reading material. Michelle is a talented cook and served a wonderful breakfast. We much appreciated the extent of the details such as a closet with hangers, a low table to put our 'stuff' on and a great shower. Having been open only about a year they have the B&B business figured out!
Due to the location internet access is spotty.
