Took my wife for a second honeymoon and I got a room with a jacuzzi tub and a view of the mountains. My wife loved it. The staff is amazing and attentive and the free hot breakfast's are a big plus.
The hot tub and pool are indoor and well maintained.
Highly recommend this hotel for couples and families alike.
Stayed here in a recent visit to the area. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Small pool and hot tub with outdoor sitting area. Hot breakfast and a great stop on the way West into the mountains. A little hidden from the roadway drive past it a couple times before we found it and our God didn't recognize the address when e tried to use it but it was worth a little searching. I'll stay here again.
They do allot of things above average. Their beds are excessively firm, and dressed with throw pillows. They have two types of sleeping pillows. The rooms were cleaned and vacuumed with Beds made daily. They have some signage about saving on towels, room maintenance. But I'm Not sure why anyone would want wet damp towels for two days..... They have a nice laundry area if you want to dry ski clothes. The pool has nice sized dry-off towels. We used them upstairs because it feels like they don't have enough upstairs for 4-5 in a room. The outside views are better than 90 percent of the motels in the US. It is enchanting and romantic. Their breakfast room is small for a hotel occupancy capacity crowd. BUT, We were staying during an under 20 percent occupancy week. They maintenanced and cleared their long driveway and sidewalks of the snows. Their price fluctuates often, throughout the week and will go up and down week to week. (You'll pay allot more for less amenities on the ski resort lodging. At least 350 to 1500.00 more each night for similar themed ski town lodging with less amenities. The 20 year old girl who worked the breakfast ROOM, worked very hard to keep things cleaned and stocked. She was friendly to my group. All of the front desk management were polite and friendly. The blonde 20 year old late night clerk, tried to work a tip out of us for asking to have the hot tub doors opened after hours. She also didn't care to make the evening hot chocolate chip cookies during her shift. There is a walmart about 1 mile from front door. Lots of food choices near by. The Walmart is large and has ski gloves and chap sticks and stuff really cheap, with choices you don't always have in normal walmarts. We stayed 6 nights. They closed the pool and hot tub during peak ski season to do annual stuff. Are you kidding me???? Do that in the summer. You don't take away the 2nd most important thing out of a meticulously planned ski trip which is the hot tub soak each day. I was floored. They did not have it on a calendar when I book my lodging. I'm told it was later posted. But who goes back to see what changes have been made in your lodging since you booked? So I could not give this place a 5 star. I dropped it for taking away my hot tub. Even a acceptable hot breakfast does not move it to a 4 star. You better plan your annual maintenance outside of the ski season next year. By the way. The indoor swimming pool is very cold at 70 degree's and is not heated. The hot tub inside is correct temp. the outside hot tub is barely body temp warm. The pool is only 3 foot tall and is not much for adult use. The kids freeze and move back and forth to the hot tub. I would definately go back to this place again. I got a great room rate below a hundred dollars a night. Free warm breakfast and the romance of the lodge and area. Nothing to really complain about. My kids loved the adventure and we will use them again. By the way. It is about 35 minutes to the Loveland ski area on the same highway, right before the tunnel. We did experience traffic every day that we chose to leave the motel after 8am. The traffic will always make the trip to Loveland about another complete hour to skiing. We left our ski gear in our over sized rental car mini van. So we did not have to rent lockers. The motel does not provide ski storage. Loveland is a perfect ski resort for the beginning skiers. I will post another ranking for them. Loveland has lift tickets at the ski shops for 30.00 child tickets per day, for a hard ticket. You can look this up on line and find the places with the cheap lift passes. Noone that scanned the lift passes at Loveland looked to see what kind of ticket and age group it was purchased at. Very cheap skiing passes.
Pros: handy location to I-70. Good indoor pool and jacuzzi. Bed was comfy and room was clean. Plenty of parking spaces and lots of local eateries.
Cons: breakfast food didn’t get refilled promptly, especially the milk didn’t get refilled for ages. We couldn’t have cup of coffee and cereals conversing there wasn’t many people in the breakfast room.
We loved this hotel. It was a 20 minute drive from Denver and it felt like we were in the mountains. Great rates, pet friendly. Breakfast decent. Breads, eggs, yogurt, sausage, gravy, cereals hot and cold. Coffee, tea, juices. Our room had two very comfy queens and a double couch bed, which was fine for littles. 2 TVs. Fridge & microwave. Clean and functional. Nice pool, hot tub, sauna and small work out room. Bonus hot tub outside. We really liked the El Rancho Brewery next door. Great service, food and beers. Our entrees were $14 for fish and chips and amazing specialty burger $15. Craft beers $6 each.
Nice weekend getaway with the fam and location is a win being a mountain town so close to Denver.
