Stayed here for a few days, decor is modern. Another Hampton Inn. Will list pros & cons.
Pros: clean, mordern, parking is free, good breakfast, due to the pandemic, there is someone serve you behind a plantic shield. Mostly friendly with the breakfast personal.
Cons: security guard in parking lot is always smoking, every time we go get the car. Front desk young asian lady could use more smile. Tends to hide behind the computer and avoids ppl. Did not provide info when check in regarding of the pandemic, house keeping, gym, etc.
House keeping service is per request, did not come as promised by manager one of the day we stayed.
Not sure will be back or not. Could do better as part of Hilton
My husband and I stayed at this location for 3 nights during recent visit to San Francisco. We interacted with Angela at the front desk couple of times - she was professional, friendly and kind! Room was ok, clean though dated! We enjoy working out in the mornings prior to breakfast and were bummed that the gym was shut down on our last day. Though to be fair, we were underwhelmed when we first walked into the gym - looked like it was still under construction....by the day they shut down, there was water leaking..., so guess we were not that surprised - just disappointed! Of note, front desk staff mentioned that there was construction occurring during our stay but assured us that construction would not occur at night or early morning. In our case, we were pleasantly surprised, no disturbance from construction noise. Also parking, hot beverages and breakfast were complimentary. No issues finding a parking spot.
I booked this hotel since I was dropping my daughter off at SFSU and thought it would be convenient to that (which it was) and, based on other reviews, would also have places to eat nearby and would be easy to get to SF by BART (not so much, at least by our estimation). There was no place nearby that we would have walked to and eaten - unless In & Out or Krispy Kreme are what you want. The walk to the BART was 'interesting' - we did it during the day and felt safe enough, but there was NO WAY we were going to make that walk in the dark. We used Uber after that. I like to get up and walk outside in the morning but did not feel comfortable doing that in this location - I used the fitness center which was OK but felt a little creepy being down in the basement. I saw on the map that there was a lake and golf course nearby, but by that point, I did not have any interest in venturing outside! The hotel itself was fine (updated, albeit small lobby) and breakfast was adequate, though nothing special. I just went back and read other reviews and I feel like I stayed at a different hotel altogether!!
Just an average hotel for me. The only downside for me is that the thermostat didn't allow for fan only. It's either heat or ac and then it stops. Me, I prefer to sleep with white noise so I need something constantly running. So my sleep was very quiet, a little too quiet. You can easily hear neighbors walking around outside, closing doors, talking, etc.
Other then that, everything else is great. Breakfast was good. There is a parking lot but it was full so I parked outside on the street. Nice big gym area with free weights.
Great place, staff, facilities, all great! Interaction with any staff member was always positive and friendly, breakfast was better than any motel i've been to (a lot of them). Motel, tooms and gym are clean.
