Dear Mr.Saurabh, greetings from Jalmahal At the outset accept our apologies for not meeting your expectations. We have note the content of your feedback. Will definitely take the corrective measures. From your booking , you had booked a classic room thru OTA @ a price of just Rs. 3750 inclusive of breakfast and taxes for 2 which is the most economical and best deal. The room is sold at an average price of 5K. You arrived by 5Pm on day 1 and checked out by 11:30AM . It will be a wrong on anyone's part to make a statement without exploring the entire resort. Breakfast is an elaborate spread of fruits, juice, flakes, bread,4-5 south indian, eggs, coffee/tea which is good enough in the category of resort. We do not agree with your statement of dirty pool, as we have dedicated staff to monitor it open to close. We have no where marketed on the baby pool. We have a pool with a depth of 3.5 feet to 5.5 feet. Please note we are not justifying ourselves, but the clarity is given for other guests who go thru the reviews to know the facts. We wish and expect you to be more honest and genuine in your feedback while you review anything at least in future. With warm regards For Jalmahal resort, Mysore Arthur DCunha General Manager

This place is placed off the main city but only as far as a twenty minute drive to the main locations of Mysore.
Good
The food was great (both veg and non veg). The cook and the serving staff are very courteous and helpful. The surroundings are well kept and it is constantly echoing the chirpings of birds. There is also a great indoor play area but is left in explored by most guests. The eating units of the lawn restaurant is also very nice for a long meal.
Bad
The major issues is with room cleanliness. Dirty towels, poorly maintained door knobs, and there was dead insects in the bathroom as we entered. From a customer experience standpoint the staff also does not look into small aspects like offering welcome drinks to customer, extra charges for baby meals, not providing even an extra bottle of water on check out day etc. The children’s park and the swimming pool can be better maintained. The kids activities are also few given that the rides and games are not working anymore.

It is such a good place but it can be much better with some attention to these details

Dear Guest We thank you for patronizing our hotel. We are glad to know you liked our hospitality, food and facilities. We sincerely apologize for not meeting your expectations in the house keeping. On the complimentary water bottles we provide one bottle per person every day. Also additional bottles are given at departure along with goodies. On swimming pool, you will be happy to know that the resort is coming up with a baby pool. We will definitely take the corrective measures to meet your expectations. +1
We were two families with an 8 months old kid & stayed at this place for two days. Our initial choice was to go for executive rooms. But, we chose to switch to Classic ones while booking with MMT (thanks to Google/MMT reviews! Executive rooms are pretty small and only good if your are looking for a quick night stay). Resort premises with a lot of greenery offer fun time for kids and a refreshing break for adults. There were good number of indoor/outdoor activities which we couldn't explore much with our baby. Breakfast was sumptuous and filling. Staffs were very friendly (thanks to the lady staffs at restaurant, chef at live counter, room boy and reception staffs). Swimming pool was clean and very well maintained. Place is very family friendly and most of the guests we came across were families with kids. Guests are given a parting gift at the time of checkout containing couple of water bottles and snacks, a gesture very well appreciated.

Suggestions:
> Classic rooms in the ground floor doesn't have sitouts/balconies. We didn't know about it until we did check-in and we wish we were given rooms in first or second floor.
> Parking space is not good enough to accommodate a full booking day. So, if booking is for a long weekend, I would recommend to get early to the resort if you don't fancy having your car lying by the road. (Security staff did help us get a space to squeeze in our car when resort MD left, thanks to him)
> Carry swimming costumes. Pool staff is pretty strict about the rules. Worst case, you can get swimming clothes for rent.
> Ola/Uber services don't have coverage in the area of resort. So, you may want to sort out the outing plan accordingly.

Only con we came across:
> Resort premise is open for smoking. But, with so many kids around, I believe resort authority should contain the smoking to some smoking room or something. I wouldn't want my baby exposed to smoke while roaming around the premises. There is a pub area available, which may be dedicated for smoking as well.

Had a wonderful weekend! Would definitely prefer this place for another vacation!
