Lovely whitewashed masseria, about 1 mile back from the coast, set in farmland. Very warm welcome. We had room 15, which had its own terrace and outdoor jacuzzi.lovely courtyard for meals. Excellent large pool with plenty of sun loungers. Excellent service from knowledgeable friendly staff. Sensibly priced Puglian wine recommendations. A bit remote (car essential) but well worth the trip.
We stayed here for two nights on our road trip through Italy and after all our research we made a lot of effort to book a room at this masseria. It was to our expectations as a nicely done up hotel with only 17 rooms. The pool is lovely with plenty of sun loungers for all guests, however there is no bar or place to order drinks and the service is minimal with staff walking around (on our first day we didn’t see any staff around the pool which is surprising given how hot it is and water wasn’t provided)
We stayed in the converted 16th century stone room with a lovely skylight which was the only one on site so it was a very unique experience. Beware opening or closing the sky light as a lot of dust falls when it is moving!
Food is delicious- we had all three meals on site but there is no price list for drinks so the bill at check out was a surprise.
We enjoyed our stay here, it was a lovely hotel with great food and we thoroughly relaxed by the pool but there is little else to do unless you had a car and could explore. If the pool service could be improved we would give this place 5 stars.
I travel enough - mainly on business - that it takes quite a lot to make me gush about a hotel. This one does it. First, it looks good. It's well-designed, the main building being around an open courtyard, and the raised swimming pool with its white walls contributes to a feeling of light and air. The art in the public rooms is carefully chosen, and more interesting that you usually find in a hotel. Most of the rooms, including ours, are in single-storey buildings. Ours was spacious, very well laid-out, with bathroom, separate toilet and storage/dressing room grouped together at one end, and with a small courtyard at the front.
As soon as you walk in to breakfast, there is an immediate sense of freshness and, indeed, there is a very high standard of fresh produce, much of it local. We noted on a couple of occasions that cakes were still warm from the oven. The restaurant is very good, with a short menu that changes daily - necessarily, because it would be a substantial journey to find an alternative.
The standard of service and hospitality is excellent, and we should mention especially the sommelier, Amadeo, who has a real passion for the wines of the region, especially Primitivo, and who communicates it wonderfully, especially at the tastings he organises.
Overall, a delight.
We are so sad to leave!! This is our first resort holiday together and the standard is now set very high. It’s perfect for a week of tranquility and relaxation. The food was exquisite, and the wine and selection worth bragging about. The wide collection of grappa... we loved it! The service was personable and not like you’re simply a room number. Staff there provided more than just a good service - they were friendly and had great conversation. Thank you to Monica and Damiano for looking after us. A special thank you to Amadeo for making our stay so memorable. We will remember the wine tasting and the special pink bubbles for a very long time to come. We could not ask for more. Perfetto!
We stayed in 3 Masserias while in Puglia and each have 5 stars for their own reasons.
This place exuded elegance with contemporary room and pool area.
Room and patio is spacious and easily could spend a relaxing day around pool and room.
Breakfast was a very large spread of delicious food. Home made cake a real treat.
We didn’t have dinner here as couldn’t find something we liked on menu but may suit others who like raw fish.
Great honeymoon spot or indeed for any time in your life
