As published in the announcement of the site: ballyduffhouse.ie, it indeed involves about an unforgettable place, but not for the same reasons as those were exposed.
Having reserved three rooms on December 2nd, 2016 for a coming on June 7th, 2017, we were made an enjoyment take advantage of these beautiful rooms, quite on the first floor, presented on the column gallery. Magnificent photos indeed which decided on us.

If one of the three bring to room suite proposed was good one of the photos exposed in the gallery of the site, two others arranged no photo of their ‘’respective charm’’ .
The hotelkeeper proposes officially 4 rooms whereas she trades of 6 there.
Naturally these 2 rooms are untold and for a good reason ……to note that their price is identical to the others.

If, arrived at the floor you turn left, and spend the door under an appearance of monochrome stained-glass window, with a piece of broken window, prepare you to live a real nightmare.
These reduced rooms had to be the chambers of the domestics of the time of the magnificence of the manor house and stayed of time.

No keys to close rooms, accessible bathroom by crossing a corridor, elastic to hold closed the doors of the cupboard, the collection of quit smoking today, top of squalid toilet pan, water tank of and restuck toilets, kitchen sink at the level of public urinal with two different faucets without the slightest mixer faucet to regulate the temperature of the water, the window with broken rope of the counterweight, impossible to open, not corresponding electricity, not a socket in the bathroom for hairdryer (that we have claimed) or razor, window broken or salt, spider also of time, adhesive on switch, missing bulbs or out of order, peeling, dirty paints and of time., fantastic view between the well-to-do and the nobodies!

Here are the photos which are lacking in the misleading advertising of this place.

It is a shame and unacceptable.

Having violent shouted in the scandal, the hotelkeeper about whose name I shall keep silent, had other choice no than to recognize the facts without having the slightest proposal for the other night which we had to pass AGAIN at her home.
His casualness bewildered us to the point that we shall not be to forget him.
Thank you again Madam for so much care towards us, maybe because we were French and that these customers are rare to come to your place?

We are far from the excellence of which boasts this lady by speaking her product.
All the published photos reflect my words and are the unfortunate reality.
Good luck in all those who will go to it.

Ballyduff House is a unique Guesthouse run by a wonderful owner, Brede. We stayed there with our two children in a beautiful family room overlooking the front green with a luxurious en-suite bathroom. The occasion was a private family party that took place in the beautifully decorated dining room after which we retired to the study/library/sitting room with its roaring fire and stunning period furniture. Our two kids made friends with Brede's dog Jack and still talk about him and the wonderful time they spent in this gorgeous slice of the Kilkenny Countryside. It's a real find!

This place is a dream. If you want a quiet and peaceful vacation, you've found it. You can spend hours enjoying the sun outdoors, taking long walks on the manicured grounds or surrounding neighborhood or just relaxing indoors in the library or your comfortable and beautifully decorated room. Breed is a warm and friendly hostess and she fed me well with her fantastic breakfast and not forgetting tea and cookies. Thank you Breed. I'm certainly coming back again to visit you and Jack.

Having had a change in our schedule my wife called Ballyduff house looking for a double room and also to see if our small quiet dog could be accommodated . We were informed by the lady of the house that despite the room normally used for pets was unavailable she would sort one of the other rooms . We subsequently arrived st a beautiful location and were looked after royally . Great location , lovely landlady with a great and informal manner . Superb breakfast too served by Breda and her polite friendly helper . We loved it , it's great when you get more than you expect in any walk of life . Would love to get back some day .

I regrettably stayed only one night and wish I could have stayed much longer in Ballyduff in October 2010 with my partner.I stayed as part of Linda McKays Milners course and BallyDuff House suited this course so well. I can say without reservation that Brede is the warmest and most welcoming host I have ever met at a B&B anywhere. Ballyduff House is set in spectacular grounds, about 5 mins drive from Thomastown & Inistioge. There is a salmon stream to admire from the magnificent breakfast room (Breakfast was gorgeous!). There are sheep, horses and cows around the grounds so one gets a genuine feel for the true countryside along with staying in spectacular manor that has been in the Thomas family for generations. Beds were very comfortable, rooms were spacious and individual, as you would expect from an old manor house. The warmth and welcome of the B&B was evident from both the house itself, as well as from Brede. I will most definitely go back to Ballyduff House and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing, tranquil place to stay. If you stay at one B&B in Ireland, this is the one to stay at. We loved it!Thanks Brede, Linda & James.
