My wife and I stayed here in a double room on our third night on the Kerry Way hike. We received a very friendly and enthusiastic welcome which brought smiles to our faces. Our room was bit tired looking, but that's not a complaint as it was comfortable and clean. The communal lounge was a very comfortable place to unwind after a days hiking. The self catering kitchen was well appointed. It's only a short walk to the supermarket and pub. It is a comfortable and great value place to stay for a night.

Stayed here on day3 of the Kerry Way. Got a great welcome from the manager (Chris) who was very helpful. Room spotlessly clean and newly decorated. Oatmeal and toast provided for breakfast. Central location ideal for walkers. Will definitely visit again.

We booked a double room and were given a tiny twin room. 1st bed comfortable, the 2nd single bed was awful. It had a plastic mattress which made you sweat and made a noise when you moved. Walls were very thin so could hear snoring from all directions. No hook in the room (the door hook looked old and was broken off) Two showers, in one room but only one worked. Only one toilet on the floor was open.
No where to dry wet clothes. No where to hang my towel in the room, everything had to go on the floor.
Bread and toast making facilities in the kitchen along with tea and coffee available. Large sitting area but closed at 9.30 (even on Saturday night!)
Clean but facilities were very varied from room to room.
Disappointing for what we paid.

Gr8 place to stay.everything you could need. Very comfortable clean room and friendly caretaker and all at a very affordable rate. I would definitely stay again if I was in the area. Surrounding area great. Plenty of things to do and places to go.

We had great night at Sleepy Camel while on the Kerry way. Chris gave us a great welcome, and our twin room was extremely clean and comfortable and quiet, with a sink and a nice view across the town main street. There is excellent living room space downstairs, and a well equipped kitchen and dining area, with plenty of space for all. There was also cereal and toast provided the next morning. An excellent price for a good stay.
