Write a reviewWe had a standard room for two with extra bed. Room 302. Room was cery clean and the sanitary premises well working and enough spacious. Nice toiletry. Quietness outstanding as the walls are thick. We did not have dinner at the restaurant but some drinks. The choice of beers could be better, now hardly any normal finnish beer and only some handcraft beers, Sonnisaari beer with best before already done. Not good. Location is very good as you can get by walk to the city centre and also to Hupisaari park which is worth of seeing. Breakfast very tasty. Overall almost worth of 5 stars.

We stayed for one night on our road trip from Finland to Norway (Oulu was a perfect stop between Helsinki and Norway). We chose this hotel based on other trip adviser reviews.
The room was clean and the receptionist was friendly and helpful. We got to choose a view of the river or a view of the hotel yard, we chose the river view (chose the view of the river if you get a chance).
They had the customer's safeness in mind; hand sanitizers everywhere and in breakfast every other table was off limit (or it was told to the guests to keep this in mind). There where rubber gloves to use of taking coffee and beverages, but unfortunatelly i didn't see anyone using them (only me and my boyfriend...even if there was signes and instructions but nobody cared except for us and the staff). I think the signs with instructions should be clearer or with a bigger font. The staff was friendy and wishes us a good morning.
We had a room including breakfast.
All in all, a good hotel near Oulu center with a pretty park to walk through to get to the center.

Stayed here between 19-20 July 2018. Outside temperature 30-32 degrees Celsius shadow. When we enter the room we are chocked how warm it is. The sun has been apperently hitting the room the whole day. We look for the termostat, and to hour surprise there is none. So the room is super warm about 27 degree, we go down and complain and we get a fan. It works a little bit.... But not much.
At least one pay as much as we did, we expect a room with a comfort temperature . Avoid this hotel during summer and hotdays unluss you are used with high room temperature for sleeping.

The main building is a sympathetically restored large 19thC house, now joined by various modern extensions (a small conference hall, a pool, etc), but all pleasingly low key. The site is by the water and in parkland, so the walk from the train station or airport bus stop is pleasant.
I was given an enormous room which was rather grand, but the beds were (for me) uncomfortably soft. Wifi is free and efficient. Breakfast is plentiful and good quality.
Overall good value, and an agreeable place to say, but has a rather brisk feel to it.

We had one night stay in this hotel I would call more like a hostel. Double rooms size was ok but lot of small issues. Old windows caused a really cold room - we both hade sore throat in the morning. TV is really small/old. Bathroom was basic oldish with small shower cabin. From shower you could get only cool or burning hot water.
BREAKFAST:
We went to have a breakfast 30mins before closing time. Everything seemed to be empty already. There barely anything. Also the food allergies were not labelled.
Overall the staff was ok. I was telling about the cold room and they claimed it for the weather change?

Thank you for feedback. I am sorry that you had such a poor experience at our hotel. I agree with with TV, it is small and old, but hopefully we will get new ones in the end of the year, when we probably will have a redecoration of the rooms. I would be happy to know your room number in order to check radioator and also the shower, because it should not be like this.
