We family of 4 visited C.M.Baiguney in June 2018 for 2N & 3D.
It was our first trip of club Mahindra membership which was complimentary.

It feels hot especially when you come from mountains to plains.
We felt it hot in second week of June especially after finishing our 8 N& 9D tours of North Sikkim & East sikkim(CM Gangtok) due to altitude & temp differences.
Our room was riverside facing waterfront near swimming pool area.
Room AC was not working inspite of repeated inquires/instructions for repair, which was adding ghee in fire..!!

Swimmming pool is clean, pure water
& excellent

Funzone/Gamezone/recreational activities with lot of variety, traditional folk dance full marks 💯 Excellent.
All staff coperative & helpful.
Antique piece shop, tshirts, local crafts items are very costly than market & even costly than CM Gangtok. If you want to purchase, buy from CM Gangtok.

One should go first to CM Baiguney & then CM Gangtok to adjust to drastic temperature differences between plains & mountains

Please select rooms near the reception/ activity area. Riverside facing waterfront rooms are lonely & far from reception & room service is late especially in evenings & nights; no matter view is better.

Food quality Excellent with variety.

I will be happy to visit CM Baiguney in winters only especially in Xmas holidays which is best suited climate for plains excluding summers or Monsoon season.

The resort is nice to relax and spend good time with your family as the same is away from all sort of noise, pollution. The resort is quite and have the facilities to enjoy. It has swimming pool. Though the resort is located on the banks of river rangeet, the same is located at an altitude. If you are driving from Bagdogra / Siliguri dont forget to see the confluence of river Teesta & Rangeet ar Triveni.

A good property in the mountains with a calm and natural environment but only because it's club mahindra I'd suggest to keep your expectations not too high. Buffet had limited options, too expensive for the quality of food, limited options in buffet, pool was dirty. Not really worth the price.

I regret my decision to stay @ club mahindra Baiguney. The 2 stars are for the beautiful river Rangeet and the kind hearted staff of CM Baiguney. Apart from that it's not a worthy place. Badly maintained resort, Broken floors in the room and it allows insects to come in, Bad toilets, Swimming pool not clean, Activities centre by name Happy Hub is unfortunately a Sad hub, Indoor or Outdoor sports kit not maintained....And so on. If you are a Club Mahindra member then you will think what this group is doing with our money and maintenance that we pay. Now it's even regrettable decision to be a Club Mahindra member. This is not the first experience for bad resort maintenance. And no one takes responsibility to answer you in Club Mahindra. Thanks for the horrible experience Club Mahindra.

Positives : Sikkim is a beautiful place. Rivers and waterfalls. Kind people. Good food. The restaurant in Club Mahindra is good. They don't have a great food spread. But the quality of available food is good. And restaurant staff are good.

The Resort
CM Baiguney is a big property and located near Rangeet river. It is worth spending at least a day in the resort to enjoy a walk near the river (at present the river is dry though). One should select the HUS room for better space and river facing rooms. The nearest town is Jorethang which is 3 Km away from resort. There is a market, a garden, restaurants etc in this town.
How to reach
From Gangtok it is a 3 hours drive or alternatively take the Namchi route which is 4-5 hours drive. However the advantage is one can cover the Namchi tourist attractions. If a person is travelling from bagdogra Airport the resort can be reached in 4 hours by road. Approximate cab charges as below:

Gangtok to Baiguney INR 4,000
Gangtok to Baiguney (via Namchi) INR 5,500
Baiguney to pelling : INR 4,500
Baiguney to Darjeling : INR 4,500

The staff & Food
We were welcomed by Mr.Pankaj at front desk and thanks to him for the early check-in and for a good room. The staff were polite and friendly. Vineet at restaurant had helped us to get our special food requirement whenever we asked for. Some other names comes to my memory are Bibek, Ms.Rai, Babu and the attenders at swimming pool and ground. Continue to keep up the good work guys !
The food was great be it Alacarte or Buffet.
Attractions in Namchi
Chardham : It is worth to see this place.A replica of 12 jyothirlingas
Samdruptse: A tall Budhist statue
Saibhaba Mandir
Attractions in Pelling
Sky walk : A unique experience but the walk is not very lengthy and not very high from the ground level and hence not scary.
Pemayangtse Monastery & Rabdentse Palace
However the biggest attraction is to visit the Khecheopalri Lake and Khangchendzonga water falls .The water falls is a one hour drive from Pelling and the lake takes another 45 minute drive further. The drive from Pelling to water falls is amazing. One will pass through the Drap village which is itself a beauty and refresher.
From Pelling one can take the route to Uttraey via Dentem and visit the Sing Shore Bridge, which is also beautiful.
We had also visited Darjiling from Baiguney. Darjeeling is approximately 2 hours by cab from Baiguney.
A note on CM Plunder (Travel Desk)
Being cut-off from the town,it is difficult to find an alternative for the travel plans but to depend on CM’s travel desk. These guys charges at least 30-40% premium from the market rates. On the other hand they show only certain places which they think the tourists should visit. The best attractions are Khecheopalri Lake, Drap village and Khangchendzonga water falls , which is not in their list of tourist attractions! The standard response is ‘roads are bad” or “water falls are dry because of summer time”.We came to know from Pelling tour operators that these places are reachable without any hassles.

We had to fight with them to visit the Singshore Bridge etc.We hope CM will take a serious note on this and bring the travel desk in order else the current travel desk will tarnish CM’s reputation.
