We cannot say enough good things about Giltraps Townhouse & Glamping. From booking to departing Eleanor could not do enough for us. A group of 7 school friends and we had a blast. The cabins are fabulous and comfortable with spotless modern toilets and shower facilities on site and the grounds are so well maintained. Breakfast delivered to your room the next morning was delish. The fabulous service continued over at the pub where we had pizza, goujons, chips and prob one too many drinks :) This is an ideal location and venue for any occasion, hen/stag party, birthday party, family/friends get together etc. We cannot wait to get back and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun break away. Thank you Eleanor and all the team for our very enjoyable and memorable stay x We will definitely be back again.
Stayed at giltraps "townhouse " not what's described on website. At €99 a night plus €9 per person for a breakfast bap consisting of 1 rasher 1 sausage and 1 egg and a croissant was very poor value for money. Room 5 had creaking floor boards ,musty smelling carpet and an old wardrobe with 2 hangers. If this is the standard of room throughout the "townhouse " which is in reality a double terraced house converted I would suggest a major upgrade or convert to backpacking hostel. There is street parking only which is free as mentioned on their very creative website. The giltraps pub menu consists of pizzas and chicken gougons and chips. Having said all that the glamping facility looked really well presented and has an excellent reputation so maybe they have lost focus on "townhouse ".
Moved to County house hotel Birr for €118 a night which was €1 dearer than "townhouse " 4 star accommodation compared to very poor hostel accommodation.
As we are in lockdown we had to go somewhere local, what a fabulous glamping site in fabulous walking /cycling mountain area, We had a fabulous night stay sorry we didn't book a longer stay, staff so friendly, such a treat to have a fabulous breakfast delivered to our room aswel
Myself and my friends needed a break considering we are health care workers so we booked a night here. Spotless, comfy, friendly, great brekkie delivered to the room door and Eleanor was super helpful even booking our meal out and dropping us there. Highly recommend a visit here to one of the friendliest villages and we will definetly be back. 5 stars and more.
Great location in centre of kinsale. Room was beautifully decorated and quite large. Welcoming bottle of prosecco on arrival with local fudge. Small coffee maker. Lovely voya bathroom products. A generous discount on prints too. Lovely friendly staff too. No breakfast but plenty of options locally. All in all a wonderful stay
