Large comfortable executive room. Extremely helpful and honest reception staff. I left an item of personal value and Laura and Sophie on reception went out of their way to find it and return it to me. Thank you for your help.
Near to the main rd, and next to a costa, McDonald's and a diner.
Friendly check in and free drink for platinum members. Good covid management. Room was clean and functional with good Aircon and WiFi. Bathroom not a good design as dark when having a shower.
Beers ok price. Overall good value.
Dirty room even someones dirty sock was left behind really not a thorough clean with covid going on.
The receptionist told me I could bring dog in restaurant so we booked in only to be told we couldn't bring the dog in i told the staff we have been told we could only for her to reply "people don't like them when they eating" well there shouldn't be a dog friendly hotel then. We needed to feed our young baby and eat so I was given the option "just tie the dog up outside" which is not an option at all in my eyes.
So in the end we had to eat breakfast outdoors with our 12 week old baby ans it was not thr warmest of days. They were so rude making comments about our dog barking he was only a tiny little thing and then we got locked out as the door got shut. Found staff so rude and manners so bad. Not happy going back which is a shame as its where he usually stay.
What can I say?
This place was one of the best budget hotels I have stayed in for a long time especially along the A55
Upon arrival the lady (Molly) was respectful and helpful towards me and my parents.
We were in Room 207 on the 1st Floor of the building at first glance the room overlooked the busy westbound A55 towards Holyhead but in actual fact noise is minimal so great for sleeping
The room itself was good apart from a few things (hence the rating of 4/5)
The room was only heated by an oil heater which in our experience made the room really hot but when off it was cold
The bathroom was small and there wasn't much space inside at all
The lamp on the left handside of the first double bed is dodgy as when my mum put it up straight it slumped to upside down
The cleaning was good but could have been better as specks of dust were found in places
This hotel has a bar but it is rather expensive (£3.50 for 750ml water)
We did have some chips but were weary as the hotel does have a hygiene rating of 2 shown by the door the chips were fine
Apart from this I had an amazing stay
Thanks Holiday Inn!
Firstly would like compliment Molly on Reception she was really helpful and very friendly and made us feel very welcome
We arrived late afternoon and on the upstairs corridor there were piles of Towels on the floor (they were still there the next day)
Our a Room was very hot, there was no heating apart from a stand alone oil heater that was seriously Hot. We turned it off on the first night because it was so stuffy but we couldn’t open the window due to the Road Noise. Unfortunately the next day our Room was freezing as this oil heater was the only form of Heating
Would agree with other comments about a noisy Air Con Unit that doesn’t appear to work but every 20mins or so it sound like Dark Vadar, very scary during the night.
Dressing table in our Room could do with a Clean, the top was sticky as if something had been spilt on it, Cups and Glasses weren’t removed when Room was cleaned and one of the Bed Side lights was hanging off the wall. None of the Soap dispensers in the Bathroom had any Soap in??
