Just returned from a lovely stay at The Old Town Hall. Louise and David have created a truly fabulous bed and breakfast, absolutely immaculate throughout with great attention to detail and every comfort provided. We stayed in the Wensleydale suite which was just gorgeous with it's cosy little lounge and a bathroom which was as luxurious as any to be found in a 5 star hotel. Lots of thoughtful little extras made us feel very welcome and spoilt. Louise's breakfasts are special too, beautifully cooked and very tasty with a good choice, my husband especially enjoyed the haggis with perfect poached egg. The Old Town Hall is a really wonderful place in a stunning part of the Dales, we can't wait to return.

Thank you for this wonderful review. We are so delighted you enjoyed your stay especially the cosy little lounge in the Wensleydale Suite which also includes an ensuite bathroom with a double spa bath. Louise is pleased your husband enjoyed the haggis with perfectly cooked poached eggs, a great change from a Full Dales breakfast. We hope we will see you again next year. Regards David and Louise

We had stayed at the Old Town Hall earlier this year, and due to our other travel plans being cancelled due to COVID, we decided to return here, as we had had an excellent stay previously. We were not disappointed.
From the moment we walked through the door Louise and David’s hospitality is exceptional and they have worked hard to implement effective COVID controls without distracting from our stay..
We were offered cake and refreshments on arrival and shown to our room, Louise explained the new breakfast arrangements and offered recommendations for our evening meal.
There are still nice personnel touches in the room, homemade biscuits, locally made chocolates, red and white wine, fresh milk and homemade cordials in the fridge.
Our room has had the addition of an overhead rain shower fitted since our previous stay, this was lovely and great way to start the morning followed by another excellent breakfast cooked by Louise.
I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast, it is one of the best places we have stayed at and we will certainly return in the future.

We spent two nights at The Old Town Hall while visiting family in the village. Our room was beautiful, breakfast was excellent and Louise and David were fantastic hosts who took very good care of us.

As an aside, I was really impressed with the work that Louise and David had done to keep guests safe in the face of Covid-19. Very clear instructions provided beforehand and every precaution taken during our stay. Couldn't have asked for anything further to be done.

The old town hall is such a great place to stay. Louise and Dave make your visit so fab, they are welcoming, helpful, friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
All the safety arrangements are in place - Louise's cleaning is already immaculate.
Breakfast is terrific and homemade cake when you return from your day out. The bedrooms are lovely, beautifully presented, temple spa products, big fluffy towels, little fridge with wine and biscuits. Books and DVD's available. Homemade jams to buy too! Lots of places to visit nearby and great walking. Bolton Arms pub in the village is lovely and great food.
I love staying here, always feel super relaxed when I go home.
thank you Louise and Dave, cant wait to be back soon!

Hi Louise, Thank you writing this fantastic review after your latest visit to us. It was great to see a regular visitor after our re-opening following the Covid-19 lockdown. We're pleased our Covid-secure safety proceedures made you feel safe. We had a lovely walk around Easby Abbey, near Richmond, following your advice after your visit there, thank you for that. We look forward to seeing you again in December. Regards Louise and David
