We splurged on the HimmelSchloss room. A beautiful room, with superb amenities; it truly is a dream come true, as the brochure suggests. The hotel staff was welcoming, and understanding of our limited German. The food, as my friend who recommended this hotel had said, is excellent. Extensive wine list. All details attended to. The Wasser Wild Wiesen area is a great place to spend a morning and an afternoon. Get there early to secure a resting spot. We made reservations to return in a few months, and I am already looking forward to it.

OK, so I think I should really downgrade a lot of previous reviews after staying here, as it was the best room I've stayed in and the best buffet I have seen!

I think there have been various extensions to the hotel over the years, so I couldn't promise that every room will be amazing, but 107 was certainly very nice! Excellent finishes and a proper big TV!

I opted for the gym initially, rather than the spa, as I was staying with a male work colleague. The equipment was pretty much fine, and the addition of one or two more machines would make it ideal. There is also a mirrored hall if you fancy some aerobics or whatever!

I then ventured into the spa... I'm not at all prudish, but being from the UK, I wasn't expecting naked flesh to be on show! This is a mixed sex facility, so if you are a bit shy/reserved, be aware. If you're not, then enjoy all the spa and pools have to offer. The website has pictures of most/all the spa facilities, though it does look comically like a 1990's adult film set! Don't be put off, and the place would be fantastic for couples.

The food on the buffet is great - plenty of choice, and you will not be disappointed! If yu can manage to get the lot on the business tarrif, then you're laughing!!

I stayed recently at this hotel, and got a confirmation price via e-mail of 457 Euros for 4 days and on check out was charged more than DOUBLE. I payed 960 Euros for the same room I had booked previously, according to the hotel, because I was alone in the room, and therefore there's a surcharge of 50 Euros per day. I have heard some lame excuses in my day, but never that blatant. It's a total disgrace, avoid at all cost.
