Hi there, as you have already noticed I am based at the Mexican Caribbean a beautifull place full of color and life, wonderfull landscapes, beaches and the extraordinary blue caribbean sea, such a paradise... I was born in Mexico City , i used to live in downtown, pretty close to the place in wich the archaeologist Eduardo Matos Moctezuma, found the ruins of the Main Temple of the Aztec Civilization. I am a Story Teller, i always knew it, and when someone listen to my words i feel so glad, because i can bring back to the life the magic of the aztecs, the mayas, the ancient cities that grew up in the middle of the jungle, and i can stil hear the roar of the jaguar, the song of the quetzal and i give a new dimention to the motives of the heroes that created our country and left a legacy that now we call History.

You can not miss the beach at Akumal; walk along the bay and pick your spot to lay down your stuff down and just chill while the kids are swimming or building castles in the sand. You can buy some snacks and beverages from the convenience store by the entrance and stay until the sun goes down.
Cenotes are a great part of our nature and folklore in Akumal, known to be part of Xibalbá (the Mayan underworld.) You can immerse yourself in their incredible caverns and explore every inch of them snorkelling or diving, and afterwards take a swim with the family in its crystal clear cool waters.
At Hekab Be library, you and your kids or teens can be part of a charity and volunteering project that helps kids in the community of Akumal. Come by and be part of the library's projects and activities, have fun, and share your time with the amazing staff and children.
At Aktun Chen you'll discover another great cenote, however this one also has zip lines and a deliciously cool river where you can swim and relax after you and the kids have had your fun! You'll see the beautiful fauna and flora that surrounds Aktun Chen and learn lots about this gorgeous place, thanks to the professional staff and guides.
A fun adventure for kids, teens, grown-ups, and seniors is to spend some times swimming with dolphins — such wonderful creatures! With the help of the coaches, you'll learn the tips and tricks for understanding and having a fun time with the dolphins. It is quite an experience that you'll treasure together forever!
If you are travelling with teens, they might like to accompany you for a treatment or a pilates class here at the Budha Gardens Spa. You have many treatments to choose from — from wonderful massages to whole body treatments and facials, all administered by very qualified therapists who use nothing but top quality products in a lovely, zen-like space.
Another lovely spot in Akumal where you can come with the family and do some snorkeling. You'll find wildlife and beauty all around you, such an amazing experience. Sit down by the shore and watch the sun go down over the horizon — really beautiful and worth sharing with your loved ones.
With an excellent ambiance and location, take a dip in the pool and order a refreshing drink for the kids or cocktail for adults while your food is being prepared. Delicious food, amazing attention and service from the staff, all set in a beautiful environment, it is definitely worth the money.
At Lamanai, you can all shop for some true Mexican folk art. These souvenirs come in all different shapes and styles. You'll find fine, handmade jewelry, paintings, sculptures, and furniture — all great quality, which may mean that it won't be cheap, but totally worth it once you see these lovely pieces in your home.
