Points of Interest

1. Tumalo Parking Lot

This is your starting point at almost 6,400 ft. Head towards the restrooms at the edge of the parking lot and follow the trail that parallels the parking area and follows the road you just drove in on towards Bend.

2. Junction not to miss

As you can tell from our track we passed by this junction. This will be the worst ascent of the whole trip and it's only a couple hundred feet. Push your bike up if you feel like it.

3. Cabin

Here is a cabin in the wood that is stocked with firewood by local organizations for winter cross-country skiers. Take a moment and check out the views of Broken Top and the Sisters from it.

4. Whoopties

In this area there are some technical features as the photo below shows. The trail begins to twist and turn and is banked in certain places. There are ups and downs (whoopties) and small jumps. Basically, this whole section known as "Phils Trail" is a friggin' blast. Enjoy it because you are nearing the end. Check out the Vimeo video in the... More

5. The End

The Parking lot at the base of Phils Trail.
