I am a medical student in 7th year, also a self-taught photographer and a freelance tour guide.
This museum has the mission of safeguarding the aeronautical heritage of Chile. When I was little, I loved this place: I enjoyed seeing how flight in nature works, and then how man slowly created machines to do the same. You will also find displays that detail the history of planes in the world wars.
An interactive museum that aims to unite art, education, and entertainment. Established in 1992, Museo Artequin contains photographic reproductions of great works from the 15th- to the 20th-century, all aimed at children. Although it mainly caters for kids and adolescents, it is no less interesting and educational for adults.
Since 1985, this amazing cinema-like place has been where families could come to view the theater of the sky - to learn about and experience the universe. Here you will find different activities, games, and exhibits, along with interesting lectures.
This is the Chilean answer to Disneyland, although of course on a much smaller scale. Located in O'higgins Park, it was built in 1978, and has gained new attractions (and thus new reasons to visit) every year since. There are currently around 30 fun rides for families of all ages to enjoy together.
Part of the metropolitan park at San Cristobal Hill is the zoo of Santiago. Covering nearly five hectares, it's home to around 1000 animals who represent more than 150 different species, both native and foreign. Always an interesting family day out, and great fun for kids.
This restaurant is a cute place with a family atmosphere. Here you can enjoy delicious recipes, brought directly from Italy. An easy fix for fussy eaters — what kid doesn't love pizza and pasta!
Come and explore and interact, using your imagination to solve different problems in very creative experiments.Live the experience of feeling an earthquake, being inside a bubble, and even lie down on a nail bed. You will learn about fluids, mechanisms, the brain, perception, light, energy, robotics, mining, and many other topics that will amaze the whole family here.
Created in 1975, Tip y Tap has developed into a restaurant with the perfect environment for families. With a wide variety of tasty dishes to choose from, even the most picky member of the family will be happy here.
If the kids are restless, bring them to this zoo for a different experience. As well as being home to farm animals, housed in an impeccable manner, there is an orchard, play zones, and rest areas to explore. In addition to this, workshops are regularly scheduled where you can plant seeds, bake bread, milk a cow, and more. These experiences with nature will give your family members a fun education that they will always remember.
Different to any other regular mall, everything at Mall Sport is related to one of a number of sports and outdoor activities, making it the perfect spot for active families. Also, besides getting simply the motivation to go and practise or train, you can actually do that here too: There is a big wall to climb, a place to practice skateboarding, and an amazing artificial wave on which you can hone your surfing skills.
Offering very good ice creams, desserts, and other tasty food, Bravissimo is the perfect place to treat the kids. Children can try one of the great ice cream cups while parents can enjoy a delicious cup of coffee.
This is the largest and most modern zoo in the country, with more than 2,000 animals representing 400 different species. It is divided into different zones: North American, Chilean, Asia-Pacific, European and African, plus a prehistoric area, where you can find animated dinosaurs. The zoo is of particular importance as it runs several protection programs for endangered species, as well as an animal clinic, which operates 24 hours.
