Great Dive Center in Padang Bai. Good rates and friendly staff.
Great bar, friendly staff who speak perfect English. They have a good range of beers and tasty wood fired pizza.
Top end hotel in Amed $500 + per night I looked at staying on New Years Eve and the price was $950 per night. This is a great hotel but as I previously mention in my review its not the best hotel in Bali and certainly not worth the amount they charge. Its out of the way from any night life, not many local bars or cafes within walking distance. Its not on the beach and is set up on a very steep hill. The views from the sun deck are amazing and if money is no object the It probably would make a great place to stay for a night or two.
I love this place... Every time I am on Nusa Lembongan I come here for early evening mango juice drink. Nestled in the mangroves there is a beautiful little lagoon in front where you can paddle or even drink your drink on a floating pontoon.
Fantastic bar and restaurant right on the beach. The owners are very friendly and good fun. This is the only real place on the island that stays open late on a Friday. They have a pretty chilled party till late depending on whos about. Most of the ex-pats come here to chill so its pretty diver orientated.
My favorite place to eat on the Island. Always superb well priced food and drinks. Service is great with friendly staff. Food can take a while to be cooked so you will need patience but its worth waiting for..
Superb place to come for dinner. Pizzas are the best on the island. Good staff and fair prices. The accommodation is also very nice.
This is the ONLY company on the Island I would go diving with.. Nusa Lembongan is famous for its strong currents and deep water so when it comes to safety these are the guys I trust. They are very competitive with their prices and have all the latest equipment. The boat Captain knows the waters well and only dive in the right conditions. The guides and instructors are all western and know the dives sites as well as the locals. This is also the HQ for Aquatic Alliance so you can get to know more about the local Manta Rays and Mola Mola as they run info nights in the on site Yoga Shack.
Nice location on the beach. Service was pretty average but worth a visit for a few drinks after a hard days diving.
This was one of the best restaurants on the Island but since it put up its prices a lot of the locals (expats) have stopped going there. The food is good and the beers are cold but there are better places now to eat.
Great food, cold beer, very popular in the evening. I would definitely come again.
As a village it doesnt have have much going for it. There isnt a huge choice of nice bars and restaurants. Its really only somewhere to come if you want some great diving or need to catch the ferry over to Lombok or Nusa Penida. There are lots of places to stay but I would avoid the ones on the beach as I was woken up all night with the ferry horns blowing all hours. The local taxi drivers are touting for business after each ferry but be prepared to haggle hard 350,000 IDR is the right price back to the Kuta area.
Great place for pre-dinner drinks looking out to the ocean but dont eat here. The food is very average.
Average hotel. Accommodation rates are pretty good but the food and beverage is pretty expensive. I couldnt even finish my Sato Ayam (chicken noodle soup with egg) it was so bad. I stayed in a room near the pool and was woken up very early in the morning with the children playing in the swimming pool. I wouldnt stay here again.
Depending on when you visit the beach could be full of rubbish washed up or it could be really nice and clean. The locals can be annoying trying to sell you things or offering a massage. Most people come here to learn how to surf as the surf is pretty good for learning on. Dont expect a Paradise Beach as Legian Beach is far from Paradise, the ocean is never beautiful blue water you would expect from Bali and often pretty dirty. This said it is a really nice beach for a walk as it is very long and wide, but not recommended at night as it can be dangerous.
Very well set out. Not bad entry price and fair food and beverage prices which makes a nice change for theme parks. The ques though were generally too long for the water slides. Even the que for a locker took nearly half an hour. I didnt see the need to have a pool bar in the main swimming pool. It just encouraged Aussie Bogans to get drunk and smoke cigarettes around children. If you really feel the need to go to a theme park in Bali then its worth a visit if you dont mind ques but otherwise there are so many better ways to spend a day in Bali.
Great cheap food but the service isn't really great. They only serve breakfast in the morning (no other menu) which has had me walk out a few times when I fancied something more substantial.
If you are after shopping then this is a pretty good pace for original fashion items. Generally though they are the same if not more expensive than Australia so check the prices and compare. There are lots of great food and beverage places and even a cinema. I usually end up wandering through every time I come to Bali. Just be careful as you walk there because the tiled pavements on the road are very slippery when there wet.
Cheap but not worth it, Ive tried all the boat companies in Sanur and what let these guys down was the transport to and from your hotel to the boat. Its was basically a shared mini bus that if you were unlucky you would have to drop everyone off before you got to your hotel. Other operators will pick you up in a car and drop you back direct.
Great bar on the beach. The bungalows are very nice and reasonably priced. I always come here for beers and to watch the sunset. The beers are hit and miss... sometimes frozen by mistake and then taste a bit flat, other times there not cold enough. The food is very average and over priced and I never eat here. Still well worth a visit or a place to stay.
Was fantastic once upon a time but now it pretty tired looking and service is up and down depending on whether the owners are about. The food is pretty good and they have a great selection of wines. They will pick you up and drop you off as we which is really handy. Worth a look as I have had some great nights there.
First time to Bali Legian Street is a must do, there are heaps upon heaps of great places to eat and drink. This is pretty much where it all happens. Night Clubs, Bars, Shopping, Tattoos etc. The little shops all seem to sell the same old stuff so if you have seen one you have just about seen them all. Legian Street turns into madness at night though. Its pretty safe and I personally havent seen any trouble but that said It does have a bad reputation for drugs, muggings, rape (usually lone drunk girls walking home) and drunken revelers causing trouble. Every where you walk someone is trying to sell you cocaine, hashish, viagra and young girls. The local government are trying to improve alcohol abuse by becoming stricter on the liquor laws. Just keep your whits about you and dont get too drunk and reckless then you should be ok.
