  • 1. InterContinental Boston
    InterContinental Boston, Boston, Massachusetts

Get it on priceline! This is a great new hotel with 700 rooms that are still offered on priceline for around $100/night. Good location (waterfront/financial district) with easy access to the T and walking distance to some of the best sightseeing (Quincy Market, the Aquarium, the waterfront, Little Italy).

  • 2. Beantown Trolley Tour

Catch your travel leaving from the Aquarium for $29, with hop-on/hop-off access from 9:30am to 4:30pm. Ride the full tour around once to see everything, then decide where to go back and explore! Includes a free harbor tour to see the USS Constitution, where you can also hop off and on again. You can also pick up the Freedom Trail from many of the trolley's stops.

  • 3. Antico Forno
    Antico Forno, Boston, Massachusetts

Best pizza ever! They also serve other southern Italian specialities, and the food here is just delicious. Don't miss their cappucinos--so creamy and smooth! And their cannolis here rival Mike's Pasty, in my humble opinion!

  • 4. Union Oyster House
    Union Oyster House, Boston, Massachusetts

Don't miss the clam chowder and lobster rolls at Boston's oldest restaurant! Very close to Faneuil Marketplace, and right on the Freedom Trail--great place for lunch.

  • 5. Faneuil Hall Marketplace
    Faneuil Hall Marketplace, Boston, Massachusetts

Great place to shop for anything from souvenirs to housewares. Lots of places to eat, including a huge food court that offers just about everything: seafood, sandwiches, ice cream, coffee, popcorn, curry, enchiladas, teriyaki, burgers...you name it! Also a great place to see street performers and do some people watching.

  • 6. Boston Common
    Boston Common, Boston, Massachusetts

Don't miss this lovely park and gardens. It's a great place for a cool respite after a morning or afternoon of sightseeing. Lots of places to grab a picnic lunch and watch the locals and tourists alike. Visit the public gardens and the Swan Boats!

  • 7. The Boston "T"

Take the "T"! It is so easy to use and can get you almost anywhere you need to go. It's inexpensive ($2.00 most fares) and convenient, and always a better alternative than driving and parking in Boston, which is exhorbitant!
