Heading for a week from the start of January.

Historically, what the weather like that time of year.

Mainly wondering for our 4 year old and is it possible to swim at that time of year too?

Hi Barry oc85,

Thanks for your question. The other answers are fair and accurate. The only thing I would add is that there can be the odd shower towards the end of January into February. Our pools are heated and the resort is well sheltered.

Kind Regards, Andy L Resort Manager

Hi Barry oc85

Never been here in January, but the complex is child friendly, has a play area and a kiddies pool ( which is heated )

All I can say is - I’ve been here three times and have never been disappointed. The owners and staff are all really helpful and personable and will always assist you in any area, ie - best places to eat, entertainment etc. But saying that, they do a pretty good job on food and entertainment themselves, so you don’t really have to leave the complex if you don’t want to. Just have a totally chilled time

I'm going back tomorrow. Currently the weather is mainly sunny and dry for the next 10 days. Air temp is 19 - 21C but it will feel warmer. Evenings I expect it to drop to 15 - 16C. A wind breaker will be wise in the evenings. Historically January is slightly cooler but is also a lot warmer than UK. I've been in February and experienced a record low for the island of 9C but that's exceptional. I expect to be swimming in the pool, which is heated. The kiddies' pool is not heated.

We’ve also been there at Christmas and new year with a 5 year old. The temperatures are somewhat unpredictable in recent years but it should be warm during the day (shorts weather) and cool at night (jackets and cardigans) The pools at Tahiti are heated and the paddling pool is shallow so your child should be ok to play in the water.
