In general, National Parks request that people never take animals with them on the paths. I know people love to travel with pets, but out of courtesy to others and regard for regulations, please leave your dog at home.

I don't recall. There are cautions about possible bear encounters which would be bad news with a dog and also the stairs are not suitable for dogs!

There are many steps down which are Mesh steel treads. I would not advise it.
