There is shopping within walking distance at the Shops of Wailea. You can have lunch and wander about.
go hang out at the Maui Brewery.
Rain or shine the beach is a great idea, you can do some snorkeling. You can visit the aquarium. I loved visiting at the the hotel grounds there, the Hilton has long promenade to take a walk.
If you have a car, on a rainy day the Aquarium is a good choice. Some of it is outside but quite a lot inside.
There is always the shops to visit. It is an beautiful outdoor mall called the Wailea Shops and it is undercover along the store enterances. I love the shops! It has a wonderful atmosphere and you can eat, shop or just walk around and enjoy the time.
Also keep in mind the rains are always temporary. If it's clear, get outside and do your thing.
It's more likely to rain in the afternoon if it does at all. Have fun
Wait 15 mins until it stops raining! Jk. The shops of wailea are really nice there are also covered swim up bars at some resorts.
Your in Hawaii . It will rain at some point. Shop, take a nap , play games. Relax
Sorry LoveToTravelSamson, that's not how wind turbines work...lol
There is an Aquarium and shopping in the area.
are you kidding? it's the Tropics! The rain is warm, soft, wonderful (unless it is a typhoon, which is Rare). You can still go to botanical gardens or walk the fancy, groomed, 5 kilometer beach path or sit in a cafe or go for a drive. FYI, the S.W. of Maui is the 'Banana Belt', as in drought stricken & arid. When the county put up the windmills (to draw water from the moist north & pump it to the south so the mega hotels can slurp it up with impunity).
