Enroute from Kandy to Nuvvara Eliya you have 2 activites -tea garden (visit, testing, shopping etc ) and ofcourse the Hanumam temple. This comes on the way and should be covered on the way. On the way there is also a Sita tear pond (The Chariot Path and Seetha Tear pond). if you start in the morning the advantage you have is that post covering above 2-3 points and after checking in at your hotel, evening you can go to Ashok Vatika and Sita Eliya temple where there is a huge lake with multipls sports activities.

What you will not be able to cover the same day is Sita agnipariksha spot @ Dinurumpola it is some 45-60 minutes from Nuuvara and amazing Ravana caves. 2 hours from Nuuvara, there is a huge botanical garden there and a huge waterfall.

I advise you start early and break for Lunch at Bhakta Hanuman Temple. There is an awesome Vegetarian restaurant Annapurni there. You can then also cover Tea Gardens and tea factory enroute to Nuvvara Eliya and reach by evening.

Hi,

The temple is closed in the afternoon so it will be a good idea to visit it around 4 pm on your way to Nuwara Eliya. Coning back next day will be an unnecessary detour.
