Hi! Just a quick question, did you go in July? If so how was the heat? and how cool did it get at night? I am just unsure about how the temps will be we are planning on heading over in July. Also, was Horseshoe bend super busy at that later time of day? we were wanting to try and miss the crowds as much as possible,
we went this month of May . during the weekday cause i hear lots of people go weekend. the weather was perfect. cool and sunny. be ready in July cause it does get warm there that month. if you use a tour guide, do the close to noon trip. they said it makes for great visuals of rock formations at the antelope canyon then the next stop is horseshoe bend. book in advance for tours if you can. might as well see everything while there , right? horseshoe bend you can go without guide by the way. just drive to designated parking area then a short hike . you will have a blast.
We visited in April and as the headline of my review says, avoid middle of day regardless. Either get there early or near sunset to avoid the heat.
Hi Kitchiono. We were there in April, around noon, and the heat was challenging. I strongly suggest you make it your route if possible to visit Horseshoe as early morning as possible for cooler weather and no crowds, especially in July when both matters can be quite intense. It's a beautiful place, not to skip anyways.
Did not visit in July, but I can tell you that if you go during the day in July it is going to be HOT!! I would suggest going early in the morning to beat the heat and crowds. Going at night you will have an issue with the day time heat lingering around and the sunset will make for a bad picture.
