Royalton Park Avenue Questions & Answers

Melbourne

Hi fellow Aussie, I am currently looking at this hotel for our stay in NY end of June next year. We are family of 4 - 2 kids 11 and 13. What room type do you suggest and is there enough room? Is bathroom big with double basin? What about the roof top pool access and that it's open for night parties? Did you find it noisy? Would you say it's close to many attractions? Or would you suggest another area to stay in....we prefer a pool off course with the 2 kids. Thanks!

I don't recall that the bathroom had two basins, but it was quite large with a separate bathtub and shower. I stayed in a king deluxe room with a pull out sofa bed and a small, very cool, balcony that over looked Park Ave. The pool is quite nice, but it closes at 7pm. and is generally filled with younger couples who are eating and drinking around the pool deck. Oh, and my room was quite large and could have sustained a rollway bed along with the other bedding choices.

Yes I liked the Gansevoort, very much, it is a young and happening hotel and Saturday night ques for the top bar reaching around the corner of the street, full of spring break youngsters but don’t let that put you off because walking past them to hotel entrance was the only inconvenience that caused. The pool is very small and getting a place can be tricky , we managed once in 5 days!! The area is lovely and felt quite safe it was near to most attractions and we walked to most attractions. We had cocktails in the bar on one occasion which was nice , The rooms were big and very quite band were spotless clean, we had a little sitting area and desk. Hope this helps

Hello! The hotel is just great and it’s not noisy. It is close to many attractions. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. I don’t remember which room I ordered but I just can tell you it was big. The pool is nice but I am not sure if you can use it at night because When I was there it was cold and I couldn’t use the pool. And there is also a bar that people use and it is public so I think the pool is close at night. I hope I could help you somehow.

Hi! I would highly recommend staying at the Gansevoort Park Avenue. The location is great for nyc activities. The rooms here are the most spacious I have stayed at in Manhattan. I had a superior room with a king bed, no pullout sofa, and only single basin bathroom. Your family might be better served with a deluxe or grand deluxe room. All of the hotel staff were very helpful. When reserving just call and let them know your needs.

Hi. I booked 3 Superior rooms for my family for our stay 5 nights in June this year. They were good sized rooms inc bathrooms which had a double basin. Roof top pool and bar was great and not noisy at night. In fact non residents using that pool/roof top bar used separate lift access off street so residents not affected. Very central for access to Time Sq, Empire State building etc and hence good value for money.

Hi I am trying to decide between the Gansevoort Park Avenue or the Hotel Indigo LES for our family stay of 6 nights in June next year. We were thinking of these 2 due to having an outdoor pool. If anyone could help with advise on which of these 2 might be better for our stay.

Our kind bed room was tiny but cool. We were fine with it. The bathroom had a large vanity & cool deep tub/shower. The pool is heated! We swam several nights; but I think it closes at 7. Check to be sure.
