Not sure if there is a policy but most people were "smart casual".
Some people enjoy dressing up, I'm one of them!! But dress for warm weather. It's always nice to see people who take time and care when dining out, rather than the flip flop, shorts and wrinkled shirt look ;)
It's Hawaii and Kauai for that matter :) While you can dress up and feel fine in doing so here, you would not be out of place in "smart" but causal attire.
The above is the perfect answer, though at dinner everyone seems to show some level of class or sophistication no matter how casual they are. Open toe sandals we common but not flip-flops. Shorts of course but more "polo-shirts" than t-shirts. Gals seemed to be at the same level of more sophisticated casual dress too.
Casual dressy. Button down or polo shirts for guys, dresses or nicer pants and tops for ladies.
Anything... saw people dressed super casual and others dressed up... humid and might be warm so whatever makes you comfortable!
