Do i need to book a tour before I arrive on the island or is it easy to secure a spot?
Thanks for your answers. We are back now. We dropped in without making a reservation and they we were booked up for the time we wanted. But the lady at the counter said you usually don't have to book ahead of time, there just happened to be a bus tour booked that day.
If you book online you'll receive if I remember well 10% discount.
I imagine it depends on the time of year. We had no trouble in February.
I booked beforehand and used a coupon found in one of the many brochures at the airport. I don't think getting on the tour was an issue for anyone that day that we went. The van can hold many more than the 16 we had.
I suppose it depends on the time of year. I was there the end of December and early January, and I booked the tour and sunset dinner for 3 people a few days before. I think there were 10 people on the tour.
We were on the island in October and did not book ahead for the Allerton Gardens Tour. There was only one other person on our tour which was awesome because we got amenities that fuller tours do not get. Unless you are going at the peak of the season (and probably not even an issue then), I wouldn't worry at all.
It's really not necessary unlike other types of tours like snorkeling? there should be plenty of room for you if you just show up?
It is easy to secure a spot once you arrive on site.
We were on Kauai from Dec. till Mar. and made online reservations during our stay while on the island. Visited the gardens in Jan. Not as many tourist in the winter months. I think you would be fine waiting till you get to the island, see what the weather will be like and choose a day. If you're still not sure you can alway contact them directly. Aloha!
