Can anyone recommend as to where to sit when dining at the Snake River Grill in the summer?
As a resident of Jackson and having eaten many many wonderful meals over the years I would strongly disagree with the person that recommended The Lift, it can be really noisy and the food at best is average. In the summer on nice days you can sit on their small deck, need to ask for, and weather can turn quickly. For 2 people they have some quiet tables near the front windows. I prefer the booths as they are more comfortable and quieter. If you call early enough you can usually the seating you want. They do not take reservations for sitting at the bar, as a rule, although it can be quite fun and you get to meet strangers. Hope this helps and I'm sure that your meal will be great. Easiest to get a reservation early in the evening.
We have over the years sat all over the restaurant. It's very popular and usually very crowded. There is really no where else in Jackson like it. I would say don't sit in the bar unless that's the only choice. Of course if there are only two of you you could sit At. The bar. That can be lots of fun but the tables in the bar are too crowded. You will need your reservation well ahead of time unless your hotel has a concierge that can book it for you
Good luck and don't miss the salmon pancakes
We were there in January, and it was packed. I'm sorry that I can't answer your question, but I agree with Christian -- call far in advance for advice and reservations. Enjoy!
I agree with Christian! The restaurant stays packed year round, but the food is excellent! Enjoy!
We agree with Christian, above.
With more than 2 people, would request NOT the rather small bar.
In the main dining room they have both tables & booths.
We actually prefer the tables, but does one really have a choice?
Unless, you call weeks in advance , and unless you are a regular
customer, I doubt seriously if you will have much input as to the particular area that you will be seated in. You could request possibly, the Main Dining area or a more private smaller area.
Calling WAY in advance could be your best chance at a good recommendation from the host.
