Going on holiday here at the end of October/beginning of November this year and would like to know if its best to book half board or are there any reasonably priced places to eat nearby, will they still be open at this time of the season and approximately how much would be a meal for 2 adults and 2 children? Many thanks.
You have a lot of options there. Unless you just like to eat at the hotel you have many local establishments available for you to enjoy. My suggestion is to take a walk and enjoy what's around the hotel. We did eat at the dinner buffet and it was very good, but slightly overpriced in my opinion.
There are a few places open in the low season, but in my opinion best to go half board. Food was excellent
At that time of year i would go half board because we found place weren't open out of session.
We were on BB - you could have an evening meal from the buffet(help yourself!) for 12 euros each- no idea about child prices'at Fontanellas Plaza!
We had breakfast and a dinner bufé (from 18.30 – 21.00) included.
The food was excellent with a large selection to choose from.
But the accoustics in the dining room was terrible: when people started coming for their meal, it became almost impossible to sit and talk by the table because of the noise from all the guests.
We rented bikes at the hotel and had our lunches elsewhere on the island.
We were there for one week in early April 2018.
