Good morning Elaine!

Due to a problem (external to the Hotel) of the streets around the Hotel, a fumigation was carried out. The consequences of this fumigation (of which we had nothing to do) was that the cockroaches arrived at our Hotel.

However, the Hotel strictly complies with the pest control and fumigations are carried out periodically to guarantee the quality.

On the other hand, as for the cleanliness of the pool, it was a few days later that the pool pump was damaged. In the course of fixing the pump, obviously the pool could not be cleaned.

We hope you are understanding,

Sincerely,

Management.

Hi. All 4 bad reviews its from one family,we was there sitting closed when they complain..we didn´t see ¨¨the plague¨¨of cockroaches as they say..We also have superiour room with the dryer, the normal rooms dosn´t have it.but this is not a big problem rented for few days. The aircon its free OF COURSE and the safe if you want to.. you pay.

Its a nice little hotel, very familiar and quiet..

To be honest, it didn't seem to be being taken that seriously by the staff working in the bar the day the cockroaches were dropping from the beam. In fact they laughed as the guy swept furiously. I understand your anxiety completely and sincerely hope that the situation is under control before you go. The most reassuring thing would be for management to comment and put your mind at ease.

It's not as if cockroaches just disappear by themselves. If they are not bothering to get pest control in, the problem will only get worse. I thought EU member states had to abide by health and safety laws. I know in the UK they would be closed down for having cockroaches in a food area.

No they haven't responded, Julie. I hate cockroaches and will be hysterical if they are in my room. Have a few hang ups about hygiene in particular and chose this hotel because of the good reviews on cleanliness and because we're on a budget. Typical that I'm flying out at the end of Sept and it's now gone pear shaped after all the excellent reviews. :(

Hi Elaine,

I hope the management has responded to your question positively and promptly. If you have a reservation at this hotel, I'm sure you are hoping for a good experience there, as my family was. Good luck, and best wishes.
