The cadet tours that are offered at noon, are they free?
Yes they are and also very enjoyable!
I don't know as I was there on a summer holiday but everything else including the museum is free
Yes, very interesting
We didn't take any cadet tours. Not sure if they are offered in summer when we went. I would personally call VMI to find out. Also Stonewall famous cannons, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John were not on display. They were being refurbished. Call ahead about these too! That was the only disappointment we encountered! Do not miss the museum , must see!
Yes!! You can call ahead to inquire about openings and any special events going on for the day.
Totally recommend the tour if not to see what the school is like go for the history!
Yes, they are free
Yes, post (The VMI campus is called "post" to reflect the military environment) tours are free. Classes begin tomorrow (Aug 30th) so I am not sure if a Cadet will be available this week or not. Contact the Admissions Office for tour info. You will be glad you did if you enjoy Civil War history in particular.
Probably, but I don't really know. The Museum is free.
