The Samaya Bali Seminyak Questions & Answers

We are looking to book here for our honeymoon in April. What are the differences between the royal courtyard villas and the others? We would like to be as close to the beach as possible but without giving up to much privacy. Are the beachside villas just revered to as the pool villas?

Hi there mstobo

The pool villas are amazing private and literally right on the beach. The courtyard villas are several hundred metres from the beach (although the Samaya thoughtfully provides buggy transport to the main reception/restaurant/pool on the beach side).

I would definitely recommend that if your budget allows, have no hesitation in booking any of the beach villas. We stayed on a One Bedroom Pool Villa and loved it, but the Royal Pool Villas seemed even more amazing.

Beautiful property with wonderful staff.

Hope this helps in your decision.

Do not book the courtyard cos it's away from the beach and you will have to cross the road to get to the main lobby. There are some beachside villas that have more privacy and you may try to request while making reservation..have fun!

If you look at the layout of the hotel, we stayed happily in a private villa with small pool in the main grounds of the hotel.

The reception is on the sea side of the coast road and rooms here lead to the beach. It is not essential to be at the front.

On the other side of the road there are a swag of newer villas, some a short walk others with a golf buggy service.

On this side the pools are bigger and there is a separate cafe.

Hotel food is pretty good. Great selection for breakfast and I recommend a private meal in your villa garden.

We booked a session at the spa. Quite good and a romantic setting overlooking the sea.

Worth a double booking together but dear, so head a short walk down the road to bodyworks, a more local spa with tremendous massages in a more functional environment.

Trust this helps, but talk directly with the hotel for a room layout.

All villas private pools are just that , private ! You cannot be seen by anyone as they all have their own separate spaces , even the beachfront villas you cannot actually see the sea because you are enclosed in your own yard / pool area until you open the door and then you are steps away from the sea ! Do try to get a villa on the sea side of the resort as the others "over the road" are isolated a bit . Hope this helps

We stayed in the Pool Villas, I think the Courtyard Villas are not as close to the beach you want. The Pool Villas were only less than a minute or two from the beach. They are quiet and private, better for honeymooners.

The courtyard are across the road from the beach and you are brought across in little golf buggies ! What you are after is a Royal beach pavilion! On book you must request one of the front villas beach front ! Also say who's gates open out to see the pool and beach ! Get it in writing in your confirmation !
