Hampton Inn Boston/Peabody Questions & Answers

Hello, I am looking to book a trip to check out Salem, Mass for Halloween. Hotels in Salem are limited. How far is this from downtown Salem?

Nice and clean hotel and relatively easy to get to Salem if you go in on the south side of town.

Exactly what we did. Saw Salem. Boy is it confusing getting in and out of hotel. One way streets. You miss a turn and you are miles to return and you will be lost. Be prepared. Hotel is only average for Hampton. Is good location to shopping.

All the above is accurate. The Hotel is in great shape and is easy access to major highways. Recommend you try an Italian dinner at Calittri's about 11/2 miles North of the Hotel on Southbound side. Hangelhair pasta the Best!

Depends on traffic but it is 15-20 minutes. It is very close. Save $$ and stay in this area.

The surface streets you have to take will be 20 to 25 minutes in standard traffic. Holidays like you are talking about will be longer. I found 35 to 45 to get back once.

I picked this hotel precisely because there were no rooms in Salem. There is some traffic as you get close to Salem, and you have to use relatively small streets (no superhighway!). But, probably 4-5 miles/20 minutes might be right. We parked in a large Public Parking building right near the Peabody Essex Museum. That worked out well for us! I would strongly recommend you consider a visit to the Peabody Museum while you are there, as it is a gem!
