Can you get a great view of Penobscot Bay without hiking? My husband is disabled...
The views are fabulous from this area. I use a cane and found it very easy to navigate around the area so I'm sure a walker or wheel chair won't have much problem.
Agree...just drive on up.
Yes, you can drive right to the summit of Mt Battie and there is a great view of Camden and the bay.
Yes. You can drive up to a great look out place. Good luck
So sorry, but I have no idea. I’d suggest calling them directly.
you can get a great view right from the car. Just drive a little further along the road once you reach the top and the view of the bay opens up. it is well worth the drive time!
The drive up is beautiful and there is a parking lot at the top. The walk from there to the view is less than 100 yards - it is dirt - not paved but is quite level. I had a torn meniscus and did not have a problem. It is well worth doing.
You can drive all the way up to Mt. Battie for a view. It still takes a little hike but I think it may be wheel chair accessible.
Yes. It’s a very short walk to the viewing area. The paths will accommodate a walker, wheelchair or scooter.
At the time I went, I was in an orthopedic boot, so I couldn't hike with my husband. I drove to the top. I know there is one section where you can see the bay without going up any stairs or going over stones. And it's a beautiful view. There are parking places for the disabled up there. The other section, where you can actually see the town of Camden, may or may not be accessible. I can't remember. I did hitch myself up a few stone stairs. But it might have had a more accessible entry about 50 feet to the right of the stairs. (They had accessible toilets at the end of a wide path.)
