how often do they do fireworks and laser show and if we buy adventure pass are both fireworks and laser show included? should we bring chairs and or blanket to sit on?
The park is usually only open on the weekends during the winter, but you can actually google the park hours online to know their summer and winter hours. They have a fireworks and lazer show nightly when they are open. We have taken our children to the park every summer at least once, and only paid for parking. We would take a picnic lunch and lay blankets on the ground and take a football to toss with the kids, or card games to play on the blanket while we waited for the lazer show. They have since turned the park into a carnival where you have to pay to ride the tram up the mountain, or the train around the mountain, or play putt putt golf. We are older now, so we still go once a year, but we take lawn chairs because it is easier to sit in a lawn chair than to sit on the ground! The grandkids still love to sit on the blanket and toss a football or a frizbee, but it is much more crowded than it used to be so they have to be careful not to hit others with their tosses! It is nice just to go and enjoy the fresh air and watch the lazer and fireworks show at the end, and you can do that for just the cost of parking.
the season for the laser and fireworks show is April 02 - October 22... every Saturday this Fall, per their schedule on the website. It is free to see, only cost is the parking fee (unless you have a season pass). You can bring blankets if you want, not sure about chairs, but they really aren't necessary. The show is only 45 min.
I really don't know I only went there once and we only went up the mountain and left as we were short on time
I really don't know I would suggest calling them.
Sorry we have only watched them once, we did not take chairs or blankets, but many do.
Not sure if they are only on the weekend, now...not much help here..
But we enjoy staying there..great place for us to see family in Decatur..
