Are there a lot of jellyfish on the beaches and in the water on the beaches in Destin? We will be heading there in April.

I’ve only seen a lot during September so I’m not certain.

Yes, they wash up on the beaches. Just avoid stepping on them on the beach. They are in the water too, but I have never seen them in any numbers to be concerned about. Again, just be aware they are there. I have not heard of anyone being stung by one during our times there. You might ask a lifeguard or the beach patrol when you see them if there are any concerns for your specific beach.

Shouldn't be at this time of year, and the ones that do show up are pretty innocuous.

I have never seen any - the beaches are beautiful. My visits are usually in the spring and fall - not sure what happens in the summer but i doubt there are any since this is the gulf.
