I would try to contact the restaurant as many wont be sure of this.
They have vegetarian options. Sorry of this is too late - just saw the question.
JUST CURIOUS WHY DO PEOPLE ANSWER "I DON'T KNOW ??? " THEN WHY ANSWER ???
IT MAKES NO SENSE & IT MAKES THE INTERNET USELESS coz it is now FULL of USELESS "I DON'T KNOW ANSWERS, instead of HELPFUL INFORMATION !!!
ONLY PEOPLE WHO KNOW SHOULD ANSWER !
I also don't know why people ask this type of question of other guests when the right / best people to ask are the owners.
It takes the same amount of effort to post here as to send an email to the owners who may offer to do something special for you even if they don't have it on their menu.
1. They are an Italian Restaurant & I don't recall if they had Gluten Free Pasta etc which I seldom eat because most of it tastes like cardboard.
I find very few restaurants anywhere in the world are actually any good at DECENT Gluten Free or REAL PROPER HEALTHY FOOD not junk dressed as healthy food. Come on Chefs !!! Get up to speed & with the REAL HEALTHY FOOD times.
To be honest with you they will always inform you that they are, but bear in mind that 99% of restaurant staff and even managers actually have no idea what gluten free entails. Generally they just won't serve a person bread.
My suggestion is this. When you are at the restaurant call the chef to your table and request something simple, like a pan fried steak in olive oil, garlic, ginger and chilly for instance. DO not request sauces and skip on the chips they're generally fried up in the same oil that the croutons and crumbed calamari have been whacked in.
Also tell them that you are Coeliac and that they will put you in hospital if they get it wrong. I normally insist on a clean pan and preferably prepared in an area of the kitchen where there is very little sauces or floor being flung around.
I normally take a trip into the kitchen to supervise.
Hope this helps.
Not sure. Give them a call or check out on google
I guess meat, potatoes and vegetables and of course wine do not have a lot of gluten
I don’t know. A call to the restaurant should help!
