The villas look amazing! I just want to check
How much is a taxi to Sairee?
Is this accommodation suitable for someone who is not confident riding a scooter?
Is the walk well lit / manageable back from the restaurants/bars late at night? Or are taxis readily available?
Thank you :)
Taxis are not cheap and I believe it was 400 baht to/from town in the evening and taxis are always readily available. The walk is not well lit but we carried a flash light at all times. The villa is up a fairly steep hill so if you are physically fit, you can do the walk back to the villas in about 15 minutes. It would be a fairly easy scooter ride as well.
I agree with Yuri - taxi just a few ££ but it's an easy walk anyway. x
If you're paying a a much a sit costs to stay at The Place, the price of a taxi to Sairee is a drop in the bucket. The Place has a taxi driver (Mr. Bear) they work with who can be very helpful and will come get you from anywhere for reasonable prices. The walk to Sairee is also short, so you don't need a taxi necessarily. Late at night, you could also probably walk, but there are plenty of taxis and Mr. Bear is almost always available.
