Buses from Xian Airport to Xian city is available. Look fir the ticket counter after you exit the immigration. It takes about 1 hr to reach the city. Get down at the last stop ana than take a taxi which will cost about RM15. Do print out the address of Citadines Xian in chinese and show to the taci driver. You may slso refer to China travel guide. Theres a lit of travel info and what to fo. Hope this will help you.

We took AirAsiaX from KUL, by the time we were done with immigration and luggage, it was past midnight. We took the public metered taxi, and cost us about 180rmb. The journey took about 30 - 40 mins, if I’m not wrong.

You have to walk pass all the potential private drivers who will be trying their best to convince you on their services. The line for public taxi is outside the 2nd building, follow the signs.

No experience with the airport shuttle unfortunately. And through brief research, you still have to take a taxi to the hotel after arriving in the city. Unless you have budget constraints, I won’t particularly recommend this route for safety reasons.

Suggest you book transfer with hotel directly. The entrance / front lobby is on a side street, but on Zhu Ba Shi Street as the address shows. A bit confusing.

My advice is to ask the hotel to arrange pick up from airport to hotel. We arrive Xian at 11.30pm and the airport is so quite luckily we arrange for pick up from hotel as it hard to get transportation at this hour. It about 1hour journey from airport to hotel.

Hi,

Catch a transit bus from the airport and ask to be dropped off at the Melody Hotel (Bell Tower) Xi'an. Head to the right of the hotel. Walk a short distance towards the first street (Zhubashi). The Intime department store is at this corner. Turn left into Zhubashi and after another short distance turn right at the next street and voila! you are at the Citadines. Nice choice of hotel. Very convenient to everything and has a kitchenette. Good pick!

You can see the directions by pulling up the Melody Hotel with A g o d a and open the map.

Don't forget to book your bus trip back to the airport from the Melody Hotel concierge at least a day ahead of your departure.

Happy holidays!

My friends and I are also going to Xian end of April 2018 and will be staying at the Citadines Central Xian. We have arranged with the hotel for airport transfer which costs about RMB200 plus. Going to arrive pass midnight on Air Asia so not wanting any transport hassle at that hour. An alternative is to book at klookcom but slightly more expensive.

FYI the transit bus no longer stops at the bell tower. Personally i would take a metered taxi all the way to the hotel. Or take the shuttle bus to the bus station and then final part via taxi to save some money if you are really tight. Use your phone and maps.me (gps) to get to the hotel.
