Did anyone take a taxi from your hotel up there? N how much was it?
I rented a scooter and drove there by scooter. Don't know about taxi, sorry.
We took a tour that day from a group called something different. It was a great tour. Very personal - look at my review of it.
No matter taxi or scooter, the last part you have to walk. A scooter is far easier, because you'll have the time to yourselves, but if that somehow isn't a possibility, i guess a taxi should be around 600 baht
Taxis can go only upto the base and the distance upto the waterfall one has to walk - there is no road. It is a pedestrian path winding the hills.
From the hotel to the waterfall base taxis are available - but the charges would depend upon the distance, i.e, the location of your hotel.
