I have purchased the 10-day Macchu Pichu trip for September fro Valencia travel. Do you work with a travel insurance company? I would like information about a company you would recommend.
I did a search for travel insurance companies and came up with Allianz as the best price and coverage for our trip. Their insurance was far cheaper than the airline's travel insurance. We got delayed on our trip so I still need to file a claim so I don't know how responsive they actually are, but I was able to speak with a real human when I needed to.
Hi, I do not work for travel company. I have traveled solo many times and I always do as much research prior about the companies I choose. Valencia Travel is one of the few ( I think 10) trekking companies allowed on the Inca Trail. They are the youngest company, the gear was top rated, the guides and porters were amazing and all spoke highly of their employer and the benefits they receive that other companies don't offer. As a team they are treated extremely well and worked very hard. The hike was amazing!!! I am so happy I chose them. Valencia travel also helped me with day trips on my extended stay in the area. All the bus drivers, buses and guides were lovely and informative. I highly recommend Valencia Travel in Peru. They made my trip easy from beginning question emails to the very end.
I'm assuming you mean travelers health insurance? I didn't buy any for my trip with Valencia Travel. However, it's not a bad idea.
I used tripmate in my past trip to New Zealand, and they were reasonable. I did, however, need to file a claim as I got sick and had to see a doctor. The claims process is really tedious that I ultimately gave up. I was only out about $250 USD. I'm sure it's similar with other companies, but I guess you get what you pay for.
