hi Kristie, it's more like a mini van car, fits 8-10 PPL. during safari the driver lifted the vans roof top up so we could stand while having our trip, plus while driving it felt quite breezy, it didn't feel too hot. I recommend it 100%
We were there in September and Pollman's didn't actually drive on the safaris. They handled all the transportation to the various other attractions available. As far as the temperature on the safaris, leaving before dawn made the cold a bigger issue than the heat. While the temperature did rise throughout the day, it was never uncomfortable. Mid 70's Fahrenheit.

no not really as you go out at 6:30 in morning and back by 09:30.... you then don't go out again till 16:30 till about 19:00 as it is too hot for animals. the roof is risen so you have your head out van
