Swiss Hostal Martinik Questions & Answers

Atlanta, Georgia

Hola - Hola! I have booked for March 9 -11. I am wondering how I get from the airport to your hostel. My flight arrives at 9:30pm (Delta). I see that there is Airport Transportation listed under Ameniites but I see no other information and can't figure out how to contact your hostel to make the arrangements.....Thank you, Sandra Confirmation # 43138-147989666

Oh, and by the way, on the way back from the hostel to the airport - I asked the hostel to call me a cab and it was much cheaper than from the airport to the hostel. FYI.

The Swiss Hostel Martinik's staff was very helpful during my entire stay in Bogota.

You should be careful with the taxis in Bogota. Usually they are affordable, but airports in many countries are places where you get taxis that want to overcharge you. I did contact the Hostel and asked for transportation. They were waiting for me with a sign and my name on it. On your confirmation email you should have the Hostel's telephone number. Call them and they will arrange it for you.

I made them wait because I had to exchange money, so they charged me 40 million (in Colombian pesos). That was last September (2014).

If you don't want to do that - once you arrive at the airport, ask for licensed taxis. Once I asked a policeman/ security and they showed me where to find a licensed taxi driver. Then the driver asked me for my destination and printed out the price for me to know. I paid 55 million Colombian pesos for the taxi from the airport to the Hostel.

These are my suggestions from personal experience. If you find a different option, please share so we learn. :-)

Taxi is easy and rather cheap. Just pop into one of the yellow cabs at the airport! Saves a bit of hustle
