Is there a fee to use the beach chairs and umbrellas on the beach?

Yes there is. It was about the norm for any resort though I don't remember the actual cost - sorry :)

yes there is. We thought the fee for the hotel was part of it and it was not. everyone has there hands out at this hotel

Yes there is a charge for umbrellas and chairs for the beach, but free around the pool. We brought chairs and so did a lot of other people.

Every resort I Have stayed does charge an extra fee. However, One Ocean offers a variety of incentives that provide a general credit that you can use to offset the chair rental. Call the front desk and ask for details. You may be able to negotiate beach chairs & umbrellas in exchange for reserving rooms for a few days.

Yes ... $15/day, IIR. Plus, I tipped the guys $5/day on top of that.

Almost everywhere I have traveled the beach chairs and umbrellas are owned by separate vendors, not the hotels. If there is a way to reduce the price through the hotel, that is a nice feature.

I believe there is, but I don't know the fees. The ones by the pool are complementary.
