We love nice sherry and wines but we only have 11 days to do Madrid, Seville, Cadiz, Malaga, and Granada. Is a tour a good use of our time?
My thoughts are since you are going to 5 cities in 11 days, I would skip Jerez. Enjoy sherry in the restaurants in the beautiful towns you are visiting. My humble opinion too would be to go to less cities - and enjoy the fewer cities more. It will take time to travel between and you'd maximize your time by seeing fewer cities. Have fun.
The sherry tasting itself is very good while the tour depends on your guide. The winery is located next to the Royal Equestrian school. I am not a horseman but their show was real fun. To maximize your time in Jerez, go to the show then walk aound the block and do the 6 sherry tasting. The town itself is not in the sameleague as the others you mention.
Thanks for the tip on Casa Grande! Will check it out.
We stayed at the Casa Grande in Jerez and the accomodations/ambiance were excellent.
Thanks for the responses! I agree with the too many places in too little time but I was overruled As I can't find attractive housing for an overnight in Jerez/Cadiz, I may try to convince the group to forgo this stop. The other towns definitely sound more interesting.
