Where would you advise us to park our car when we go on the Moher Cliffs Walk with Pat Sweeney? Thank you.
As someone else said, there is plenty of parking right across the street from O'Connors pub.
If youre starting from Doolin you can park along the roadside at the parking area near O'CONNORS. Or any of the roads safely nearby or at the pier, a few minutes walk away
There is plenty of parking south of the village on the road. You may even be able to park at the pier, but I'm not sure. If you park at the pier, it's an easy walk to the meeting point. A bus is arranged to pick you up at the Cliff's of Moher visitor's center and will take you back to town.
If you are going to park a car on the street better be there early. You could park down at the pier and walk to the meeting point.
If you follow the car parking signs in liscannor you can park at house they charge 2.00 euro and you can start the walk from liscannor onto Cliffs of Moher and then Doolin. Or if your staying in a local B&B they often will drop you off at the start of the walk.
We don't use this guy as we walk it ourselves but we park in Doolin and walk over and back to the cliffs interpretive centre perhaps they should contact the man directly cheers
We didn't have a guide or a formal walk, so I don't know where he starts his guided walk. If he starts at Doolin end, there are places on the side of the road to park, which is what we did . If he starts at the visitors center, there is a large parking lot there (6€ pp not per car). At other end, a 2€ parking lot. Note: we observed some cars letting off their passengers before they went into the car park at the visitors center, thus paying only for the driver.
There is plenty of street parking right next to the meeting spot across from O'Connors. A shuttle will bring you right back there from the Cliffs for 6 Euro each. Have fun!
That should have read Liscannor GAA pitch.
There is a car park in a farmer's yard near Liscannor HAS pitch which is sign posted.
Noga - I just did the tour with Pat yesterday. Remarkable not just for the walk but for all the information that Pat and his guides bring to the walk. It adds a remarkable dimension to the walk. We are glad we did not do on our own. Try to arrive early to park on the street near O'Connor's. If you do park at the Pier it's possible Pat's team will drive you back down if you go in the bus/van with people who are taking the boat cruise of the Cliffs of Moher. After a long walk, the walk from O'Connor's to the pier may feel a bit long.
