Thank you for your enquiry.Powerscourt is beautiful in every season! April will depend on the weather if it is a very cold winter and spring the plants are slower to bloom but if we have milder weather there will be more colour in the Gardens. The Japanese Garden is certainly a favourite for our visitors in Spring as it is full of azaleas, apply blossoms and colourful acers. Here are some of the plants you can expect to see;
Acer Rubrum (Red Maple)
Laburnum Watereri Vossii
Prunus (Cherry Blossom, Apple Blossom)
Agapanthus (African Lily)
We also have some very rare and old trees in the garden and it is well worth walking our tree trail route!
We look forward to welcoming you to Powerscourt!

I believe these gardens would be awesome at any time of the year. We visited them in September and found them very nice, April would likely even be nicer with the new growth of spring. I say go for it!
I am not sure I suggest emailing the property
Powerscourt has very mature gardens and they are spectacular at any time of year. If you are lucky to see the spring flowers this will e an added bonus.
Enjoy and visit the village of Enniskerry
Sorry, I haven't been in April. Spring comes earlier in Wicklow than in the north and a lot of work goes on all year round and I'm sure they would be lovely.
Have visited the gardens a few times and I will say that they would be beautiful at any time of the year
They should be brilliant with all the spring flowers starting to bloom especially the azaleas. We absolutely loved the gardens, thought the Japanese Gardens were especially nice and the view looking down the steps to the lake with the horse statues on either side is spectacular, don't miss these gardens if you're in Ireland.
