during the day, we have many guests visit who have been walking on Howth Hill so attire is certainly casual.
As many have said here, our guests do tend to dress a little more formal in the evenings but in terms of our own dress code, smart casual is perfect.
Look forward to welcoming you and thanks to everyone above for answering on our behalf
I don't think there was a specific dress code. We went on a last minute recommendation while touring the area. I'd say no sneakers and jeans but it's not coat and tie, either
People wear smart clothes un the restaurant but you can have a casual and clean look
Whatever you want to wear basically, we chose smart/casual.
Okay. Ireland is land of the practical dresser--have yet to see any fashionistas here--we relocated a year ago and do get out often. Even in the best restaurants (except for one or two city centre) almost anything goes. If you feel self-conscious or just want to blend in for men khakis and a polo or oxford works, for women slacks and a blouse are enough as well.
Although the restaurant looks up-market and worthy of dressing up, we found it relaxed. Some people went to a bit more effort, but in general on the day we went, plenty of people were in jeans and dressed very casually. Hope you enjoy the meal - ours was fantastic.
