We are considering staying here next year for our 25th wedding anniversary, one of our pet hates is getting up at “silly o’clock” to have sun beds by the pool, can anyone give us feedback on what it’s like here for this please ? - Thanks
I am afraid this was happening every day when we went in August and seems to have slipped in as bad behaviour since our last stay there, and before, as it was never a problem. I complained and was told they have rules to remove items or towels left on beds but saw no sign of this being enforced. Another sign of the over commercialisation of Barbados which has changed beyond all recognition from the sleepy island we first visited over 40 years ago.
Whilst the hotel may say it is their policy not to allow the bagging of sun beds, this is rubbish!
The sun beds are not great on the beach, set your alarm for 7am we reckon.
The hotel has a policy of not allowing reservation of sunbeds before 07.30. Having said that you need to be pretty quick off the mark to get one in a good location. The beach is nice but only a thin strip so the sunbeds on the beach are close together.
Never had an issue getting beds by the pool or the beach
no problems getting sun beds you will love it
We have been twice at the end of July/early August.
We had late breakfasts most days and always managed to get a sun bed on the beach. you may struggle around the pool areas as we noticed guests who had rooms adjacent to the pools were nipping out early via their patio doors and secured the same beds every day for the entire holiday. Beach is better because of the stunning view and you get a nice breeze when its baking hot !!
We are not early risers but always got a bed round the pool or on the beach.
If you go when it's the school holidays in the U.K. Then I have to say this does happen we went in august and people were reserving loungers however that said the staff would always find you something, I thought it would be a problem however we are going back next year so it was not that bad.
If you go when the kids are still in school I would say you will be absolutely fine.
When we stayed, the hotel was very quiet, so ever at problem with sun beds. There seemed to be plenty around. Also lots more on the beach.
