First of all, I am very sorry for the late response.
To answer your question, not all of rooms have windows that can be opened. The comfort double and triple rooms on the 1st, 2nd & 3rd floor that are facing the Leidsestraat have double windows installed which cannot be opened to keep the street noise out. In all the other rooms the windows/doors can be opened.
Please e-mail us or mention in the remarks when making your booking if you wish to have a room where the windows can be opened.
If we can be of any further assistence, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We had a small room, tiny window that faced another building. We didn't really care, we spent barely any time in the room, too much to do right outside the door.
Our room on the fifth floor had doors that opened as well.
Can't comment on all the rooms- but we had doors that opened onto a little Juliet balcony. Could lean out to take it all in!
We had room on the third floor and it was one which did not overlook the canal - the view we did have wasn't the greatest we have ever had but the room itself was excellent and we had nice big windows which did open wide for us. This was really helpful because when we were there 22-26 May the heat was really on! We didn't sleep with the windows open but I'm sure we would not have been too disturbed by noise if we had chosen to do so. We were very happy with our stay there.
